Richmond, VA (PRWEB) April 9, 2008

Edge Training Systems, a producer of leadership and employee development solutions, today announced the addition of a new training video program: Leading The Way – Negotiating With Influence & Persuasion. Leaders and managers are constantly challenged every day to influence people on all kinds of matters. This video program is designed to teach participants how to move people forward to a specific business outcome using influence and persuasion.

Through real-world scenarios, this new video program illustrates that influence is not about power, but about tactfully gaining people’s support and commitment. This video also shows participants how to identify and effectively use the four types of questioning techniques to facilitate negotiations.

This program is designed to work as a resource for instructor-led training, mentored learning programs, or as an on-demand streaming video solution. Upon completion of the on-demand video program, participants can print out and email their Certificate of Completion to their manager, HR department, and for their own personal records. The EDGE Development Center Learning Management System (LMS) tracks all progress and completion data as well, providing records of training completion for company administrators and in the event of an audit.

Edge Training can offer facilitation services to bring a training program to life, so that clients can easily leverage existing training resources and incorporate EDGE products into their blended learning curriculum.

Intense School Achieves Notable Milestone in Acquisition Integration

xml:lang=”en” lang=”en” xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”>

Intense School Achieves Notable Milestone in Acquisition Integration

Elmwood Park, IL (PRWEB) August 25, 2010

InfoSec Institute today announces that one-thousand (1,000) students have now completed an Intense School Training Course or Boot Camp since Intense School was acquired in late February 2010.

The merger turned InfoSec Institute into the 2nd largest IT Security Training company in the United States by combining the resources and award-winning class offerings that have earned several awards such as Best Instructor-led Training, Best Boot Camp Training, Training Center of the year, Instructor of the Year.

InfoSec Institute has maintained the Intense School brand and products which helped create the award-winning environment. Leveraging the stockpile of Intense certification prep courseware along with the roll call of expert instructors on staff, Intense School has continued to deliver the highest quality training on the market. “There were so many things Intense School was doing right, we had very little business process reorganization tasks to undertake in the merger. We feel fortunate to be in a position to not only keep the best products and people from Intense School, but also allow the brand to live on through an even wider offering of highly technical information security training courses. Many Intense School students may not have had the opportunity to learn these critical skills under one umbrella before the integration with InfoSec Institute” said Jack Koziol, a Senior Program Manager at InfoSec Institute.

Now that Intense School has seen 1,000 students since the acquisition, it’s clear the Intense School brand and training courses will continue to maintain its high standards of IT education and will see continued growth under InfoSec Institute.

About InfoSec Institute/Intense School:

InfoSec Institute and Intense School have been training IT Security professionals since 1997. With over 50,000 students trained, they offer computer security courses from beginner to expert level. Courses are both publicly held and customized for on-site training to meet the needs of specific organizations. InfoSec and Intense have trained the top minds and organizations in IT security. Customers include FBI, CIA, NSA, DHS, Symantec, Microsoft, Google, PCI, JPMorgan Chase, and hundreds more.

K Alliance Now Offers Distance Learning Courses

xml:lang=”en” lang=”en” xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”>

K Alliance Now Offers Distance Learning Courses

K Alliance Remote Classroom Instruction

Tampa, Fla. (Vocus) July 13, 2009

K Alliance now offers distance learning courses as part of its delivery formats. K Alliance currently provides online and computer based training courses for those looking to enhance their skills and gain training on various topics relating to IT certifications, desktop training and soft skills improvement. But now, students can choose the latest option, distance learning, which allows them to take a live class even though they are not physically present in the classroom. The computer class is taught in real time and they can still interact with the instructors as they would if they were sitting in the classroom,

Distance learning, or remote classroom instruction (RCI), is changing the IT training industry. As a relatively new form of training, RCI technology combines the best from traditional face-to-face instructor-led training with the latest in conferencing technology, allowing us to deliver live training to multiple locations at one time. Students from anywhere in the world can learn from a live class that is being conducted in real time. All distance learning courses that K Alliance offers are taught in Eastern time.

Instructor-led, classroom training is the most effective way to learn since it’s how most students went to school. From kindergarten to high school, students are done from live classes. Now that more and more students are taking elearning classes, those that like the experience of learning in a live classroom are at a loss, which is why K Alliance wanted to offer such technology. Busy schedules also hinder professionals from obtaining a traditional classroom experience. Distance learning classes from K Alliance provide the best of both worlds so that students still get quality computer training to enhance their skills from their computers.

Students taking K Alliance’s new distance learning classes learn from computers either at their home, office or onsite training centers close to where they live. Instructors are teaching a live class, and distance learning participants are also involved in the class, as if they were sitting live in the classroom. The presentation is interactive, so that student learning at their computer can still talk and ask questions in the class.

If students have a problem with the material at any point in the instruction, they can easily speak up like there were in the classroom. Students communicate via a conference call with a speaker phone. Labs are also conducted in real time as the instructor teaches the class with the other students in different locations. The instructor will be able to see your computer and the labs you are working on at all time, so that they can easily help students if they ever get stuck.

K Alliance’s distance learning courses are taught by certified instructors in the field and offer the same quality as their online and CBT courses. Students can also choose from a variety of titles when selecting distance learning as the delivery method. Besides elearning courses, K Alliance also unlimited online options and enterprise server for companies looking to add training for their employees while at work. For additional information on courses and onsite testing center locations, please visit http://www.kalliance.com.

We offer a variety of delivery options, including remote classroom training, online training, and computer training videos. Free CAT course may disrupt the CAT 09 preparation

Free CAT course may disrupt the CAT 09 preparation

Really surprising!! While various CAT preparation institutes with significant national presence and hence scale are thinking to increase CAT prep fee, some online preparation programmes are going on an altogether different track. For instance, TCYonline’s FREE CAT course is a matter of surprise for all. Not only are the contents (tests, tutorials, audio et al) comparable in quantity but also ranked very highly by the students. According to company officials – As the CAT experts all over India admit that they really don’t see reason why students would pay for content. It’s not about content AT ALL but what happens around that content. What it means is that websites like have captured millions of Analytics (data points) around lakhs of questions by running this course free for the last two years. Around 50,000 prepared for CAT 2008 with TCYonline NOT just because of content but specifically because of Analytics (http://www.tcyonline.com/cat2009/tcy_graphs.html).

With the pace CAT aspirants are enrolling every day for the online courses; websites like www.tcyonline.com expects to enroll more than 1.5 lakh students. While preparation and test results are absolutely free, students can pay as less as INR 365 for unlimited annual usage of the some special technical features. Moreover, such an approach towards online training requires first the trainers to be trained on the ways of helping a CAT aspirant to use analytics to their best advantage. For instance, the classroom trainers of TCY are certified on these Analytics if students want to take advantage of instructor led training. That’s highly scientific as only certified trainers can train them & not merely subject experts.

Such free online CAT preparation options are a boon for working professionals like S. Karthikeyan of Chennai, according to whom it is the “best” resource for all the MBA aspirants like him.

“The beauty of this course is that one can do it at one’s own pace “, he said, adding, “Thanks to good quality, challenging tests and lectures on the website, I prefer an online course to a regular course.”

Additionally, the course consists of some video recorded lectures and online tests in verbal and quant. TCYonline offers meticulously designed 60-70 video recorded lectures. Equal stress is laid on Quant and Verbal Aptitude, Data Analysis, and Logical Reasoning.

Salient features an Online course:

• Vocabulary and speed reading buildup

• Digital audio lectures and online tests

• Live online technical support

• Subject-wise backing by CAT experts

• Downloadable topic-wise notes.

• Test-wise analysis and nationwide ranking

• Mock CATs and previous year’s original papers

Shivam Srivastava, working with Infosys at Bangalore, too is all praise for the free CAT course. “The online course available on TCYonline is exhaustive and at the same time intensive and focuses on the topics well. The best thing about it is that the lectures provided can be attended at any point of time which gives flexibility to the user. The content is also great and covers everything. Also, regular tests and assignments help you benchmark yourself with others.”

The biggest challenge before test-takers is how to prepare and test themselves before the actual exam. If the ultimate test is online, it is high time, with 5-6 months at hand, to switch to computer-based preparation and practice. If not, they will stay fit only for paper-based IIFTs and SNAPs. Moreover, with CAT going online, be prepared for news of SNAP, JMET, XAT (once again), MAT, NMAT, FMS and IIFT also going online soon. CAT has actually got easier. One major advantage that CAT 2009 offers is that one can gain quick access to the tests and preparation material at any time of the day if it is available online. This will offer customization and flexibility to the test-takers preparing for CAT 2009.

Since there is always a surprise element in a CAT exam, keeping in view a steady shift from formula-based to reasoning-based questions during the last couple of years, these types of online tests can better prepare them to face any eventuality. Tools like Analytics are designed to provide an aspirant with not only self growth analysis, but also benchmarking with others at the granular level. It acts as your everyday reality check! by providing  you national rankings. You can compare your performance vs. that of toppers and your past performance. Another option for the aspirants is to generate their own tests. One such testing tool with is Test Generator (www.TCYonline.com/Createst). The test generator gives a candidate the facility to create his own test on the basis of the inputs he gets from the analytics thus enabling him a personalized preparation to strengthen his areas of improvement.

www.tcyonline.com is an online initiative of Top Careers & You (TCY). Founded in 1998, TCY provides college level test preparation and school level supplemental education services. The company serves almost all the sections of student community, through classroom teaching, and online mode; from K-12 to students preparing for competitive exams. TCY is present at 42 locations, and is tying up with more like-minded individuals and businesses, to further extend its footprint across the country.

Top 8 Reasons Why Training Providers Are Adopting eLearning

Top 8 Reasons Why Training Providers Are Adopting eLearning

1.  Client Demand: The provider’s clients have started demanding eLearning solutions (and training providers want to retain them). This is a pure survival and growth reason. Undoubtedly, in the current economic situation there is a BIG push for training companies to move towards eLearning.

2. Cost of Training Delivery: To reduce cost of delivery for training companies and their clients. This is mentioned universally and has come into focus even more due to the recession where budgetary constraints (especially on travel) have impacted the off-take of classroom training in big way

3. Flexibility: Increase flexibility of access (anytime, anywhere). Most training companies mention it’s becoming difficult to pull employees out of their jobs for 2-5 day instructor-led sessions. With managers forced to do more with less people (several organizations have retrenched people) letting anyone off for even a day can become difficult.

4. Increase delivery options: Blended learning options to cater to the unique requirements of different clients. Some want more eLearning and some want less of it, others want mobile learning. This helps training providers reach client companies who otherwise had not been able to afford their classroom training – opening up a new stream of business.

5. Improve efficiency: Improve efficiency & effectiveness of instructor led training with technology enabled components. Adding pre-workshop eLearning modules, post-workshop eLearning sessions (can be synchronous), mobile learning components for follow-ups that help increase retention. Using technology such as ARS (Audience Response Systems) in classrooms & providing collaborative environments can create learning opportunities for users. As training providers, they want to make their courses the ‘best in class’ using technology enabled learning affords them that opportunity.

6. Learning Management: Making management of reporting easier and be able to check off some important checkboxes (guess more relevant to compliance type training). As the paradigm shifts, Learning Management Systems will change and focus would be on truly managing learning and not just checkbox compliance.

7. It is better now: ELearning has improved since the time they last considered it. There is NO doubt about this; eLearning has come a long way. The addition of games, simulations, mobile based learning, social learning frameworks, collaborative tools and much more has come to instructional technology.  Rather than simple page-turners the industry is slowly turning to provide instructional experiences, both interactive and online.

8. Am I late: Don’t want to miss the boat. Well none of our prospects said this but it seems to be the overriding feeling amongst training providers. All of them realize that the days of classroom-training only are limited and they’d better start now.
